Hydrogen creation rate - how big a fan?

from:

http://www.osha-answers.com/lore/attachment.php?id=9

1. When the battery is fully charged, each charging ampere supplied to the cell produces about 0.016 cubic feet of hydrogen per hour from each cell. This rate of production applies at sea level, when the ambient temperature is about 77 ºF, and when the electrolyte is "gassing or bubbling."

okay - some calcs:

0.016cubic feet = 0.432 L/A/cell/hr = 1.2e-4 litre/ sec / Cell

number of cells = 36

so 4.32e-3 lps/A

or 9.6e-3 cfm (as all fans seem to be quoted as this)

for overnight charge:

max charging rate = 10A

0.0432 lps
0.096 cfm

for regen charge

max charging rate = 100A

0.432 lps
0.96 cfm

breaker orientation

breakers say that they must be mounted vertically. That is akward - I need to find out why.

this may help
